"Yes and no. Lucifer made this entire tower fill with ravens when he was annoyed at me, but these five lingered after the rest disappeared. Wanda's named them and they like her." Istredd glances up at the ravens but they seem to be having a great time in this space. "They're not mine, that's for certain, but you would like that one. Assam." It's the third one over, he points. "He pecks Lucifer when he's being irritating. It's deeply funny."

Not to get into the headspace of why Lucifer would make ravens that would then attack him, who knows how that all came to be. Istredd's domain is as much his friend's as his at this point, that's the truth. Wilhelm knows that the two of them are close and this is one more way it presents itself. Istredd can't explain why Lucifer was mad enough at him to infest his domain, but with his temperament, it isn't that surprising.

"Wilhelm, I know this is not an easy topic, so I appreciate you being willing to discuss it with me. I think you need to understand something." He stands up, trying hard not to get into his formal attitude. "I was several years younger than you when I was taken to be trained, and I do know what it's like to be completely out of control. They find us because we use our powers uncontrolled for the first time. It's not always an experience of wonder and excitement; cold fear and loneliness, that's far more what we all went through."
